I'm One Of 15 Black Travel Writers To Read Now!

As fun and rewarding as travel writing is, it can be a lonely business. Sometimes you feel as if you’re talking to a vacuum; Hello, anybody there?! But then are days when you get feedback from a reader or, better yet, recognition from your peers. And today was that day! I’m thrilled to have been named one of 15 Black Travel Writers To Read Now in this Forbes article by fellow writer Kathryn Parker-Maygar.

I’m thrilled to have made the cut, and to be included among a group of really talented storytellers with such diverse viewpoints and specialities. I’ve traveled with several of the other writers - Heather Greenwood Davis and Lebawit Lily Girma among them. And there are others, such as Tatiana Pile and Phaon Spurlock, whose work I’m really looking forward to reading.
