Sarah Sleeps Around: St. Regis Bora Bora Resort
The second and final stop on my French Polynesian adventure is the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort.
Open since 2006, the 44-acre retreat is sprawled over three "motus" (islands), which are surrounded by Windex-blue lagoon and Pacific waters and connected by wooden bridges. It also has spectacular views of Mount Otemanu, Bora Bora's iconic, mist-crowned peak.
Other highlights include French Polynesia's only Clarins spa (a must while you're here) and a lagoonarium (a man-made saltwater lagoon) teeming with tropical fish that's a snorkeler's dream.
SRBB was where Justin Beiber famously stayed (and played, wink wink!) back in 2015, and it was also featured as Eden resort in the 2009 movie Couples Retreat, which plays on a loop in all the rooms here.
Speaking of rooms: Of the St. Regis' 90 butler-serviced suites and villas, 77 of them are over water. And yesterday I did a Facebook Live tour of mine – a 1,500-square-foot Deluxe Otemanu Overwater Villa – for Islands. But you know I like to share, so click here for a look at how to live the good life, Bora Bora style.
