BuyDay Friday: Locket Love
I believe you can never have too much jewelry, and I’ve just stumbled across some really nifty travel-themed pieces that I wanted to share. Crafted “with love and propane” in her New Jersey studio, artist Cat Ivins’ magnetic lockets are made from recycled steel auto parts. About an inch in diameter and strung from a ball chain or leather lariat, each locket can hold a small photo, and some come complete with little "lipstick" mirrors inside. Best of all, each comes with a trio of interchangeable lids, so you can switch up your look as you please. How cool is that?!
There are wide variety of designs, many featuring images by artists with whom Cat collaborates, some with fabric lids and you can even get them personalized with an image of your choice. But as a jetsetter and writer, I find these particularly appealing:
The lockets are a great deal at less than 30 bucks, and you can score extra sets of lids for just $10. And Cat also offers key rings, bracelets and rings.
Browse and buy from Cat’s website, Olive Bites, or in her Etsy shop. And when you do, tell her JetSetSarah sent you!
